Codes and images stay local
Text, addresses, network names, Wi-Fi passwords, camera frames and selected photos are processed on the device to create or read QR codes. ARWIVO does not receive this content. There are no accounts, cloud history or proprietary redirect server. Android core functions work offline.
Camera, photos and export
Camera permission is requested only when you start scanning. Denial does not prevent code creation or file selection. The system picker shares the selected file without requiring access to the entire gallery. PNG files are saved to your chosen location; a cloud provider you select applies its own rules. Decoded content never opens automatically. Confirming a link sends its address to your browser and the destination website.
Library and retention
Codes are saved to the library only on request. They remain in app/browser storage until you delete individual entries or clear app/browser data. Android system backup of app data is disabled. Exports and clipboard copies remain under your control. Wi-Fi QR codes contain passwords in readable form: protect them as you would a password.
Android advertising
On first launch you may choose an age group: under 18, 18 or older, or prefer not to say. We do not ask for a date of birth. Only this choice is stored locally until changed in Ad privacy options or app data is cleared; ARWIVO does not receive it. For people under 18 and those without a stated age, the app does not request ads or open advertising consent forms. The QR tool remains available. The advertising and consent process described below applies only after choosing 18 or older.
The app contains a small Google AdMob banner. Google SDKs may process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device/advertising identifiers, diagnostics and ad interactions to deliver, measure and protect advertising. We do not provide code content, photos or Wi-Fi passwords to advertising SDKs. Only test ads are used during testing. Core functions do not depend on advertising consent or ad availability.
Choices, legal bases and recipients
Where required, Google UMP presents privacy choices before ad requests. An ad privacy entry point in the app lets you change available choices. Processing requiring consent relies on your consent, which can be withdrawn for the future. Requested functions serve performance of the service; technical protection and necessary website logs rely on legitimate interests. Google and partners may process data outside the EEA under their policies and safeguards. Google data is retained under Google policies.
Website and rights
The web tool does not send code content or images. Normal page requests are covered by the general ARWIVO website policy; hosting receives necessary connection data. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. Contact contact@arwivo.com without including Wi-Fi passwords or confidential codes.
