Boredora — Privacy policy
Last updated:
1. Scope and controller
This policy covers Boredora for Android (package com.arwivo.boredora), including test versions. Boredora offers short challenges for adults. It requires no account, name or email address. The controller for the processing described below is ARWIVO — Arkadiusz Rzad, Am Weidig 49, 98617 Meiningen, Germany. Contact: contact@arwivo.com. Legal notice.
2. Progress stays on your device
Boredora stores language and appearance preferences, favourites, a completion count, up to 100 recent attempts, information used to avoid repetition, and the current session and timer state. Its own state file is in Android's private storage excluded from system backup. We do not send this data to ARWIVO or advertising services. There is no progress server, synchronisation, login, separate product analytics or in-app purchasing. Challenges and saving work offline; advertising requires a connection.
3. Google advertising
Boredora includes one Google AdMob banner on the main screen. It has no full-screen or rewarded advertising. In the EEA, the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The SDK may process IP addresses, device or account identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Google describes TLS encryption in transit. We do not pass challenge content, history, favourites or completion counts as advertising parameters. Having no separate Boredora analytics does not disable the advertising SDK's measurement.
4. Your advertising choices
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) checks current requirements and presents any required form. UMP also connects to Google to check and remember choices. The code permits an ad request only after this flow has finished and UMP allows it. The form explains purposes, partners and their legal bases. Where UMP requires access to change a decision, use Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy options. You can withdraw consent without losing access to challenges; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Refusing personalisation does not necessarily remove advertising: Google may allow non-personalised or limited ads according to your choices. Non-personalised advertising can still require consent for identifiers. Changes apply to future requests and do not automatically delete earlier Google data. Development versions use test banners.
5. Purposes and legal bases
Local storage provides functions you select (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where personal data is involved; section 25(2)(2) TDDDG for necessary device storage). Advertising operations requiring consent rely on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. Necessary choice management and security serve to respect decisions, prevent misuse and maintain stability (Article 6(1)(c) or (f) GDPR, depending on the operation); this does not authorise optional tracking. UMP also provides objections to purposes based on legitimate interests. You do not have to give advertising consent or provide your progress to us. Boredora does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you; with consent, Google may profile interests to select ads.
6. Recipients, transfers and retention
Google and the advertising partners identified in the form may receive advertising data; Google generally acts as an independent controller for this processing. It does not host our local progress file. Google services may process data outside the EEA, including in the US. Google's transfer documentation describes applicable safeguards, including relevant adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses depending on the recipient and transfer. Google transfer safeguards. Local state remains until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled; the oldest attempts are removed when the limit of 100 is exceeded. There is no cloud backup or server-based recovery. Advertising data retention depends on purposes, settings, legal obligations and recipients' policies; we do not promise one period for all Google data. Google retention policy.
7. Deletion and your rights
You can remove favourites in the app. Clearing Boredora's data in Android settings or uninstalling it removes its own state; this loses progress and is not a recommended first troubleshooting step. ARWIVO cannot read or remotely recover that file. You can delete or reset the advertising ID in Android settings; this does not delete all Google data. Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Contact us about ARWIVO processing; for Google's data, you can also use the controls and contact options in its policy. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including TLfDI, Häßlerstraße 8, 99096 Erfurt, Germany, www.tlfdi.de.
8. Contact and website visits
If you email us, we receive your address and message. The website and contact privacy policy explains correspondence, its purposes, legal bases, retention, hosting and recipients. Do not include passwords, advertising identifiers or copies of private app data. Opening this page in a browser is subject to the website's rules; optional website analytics is separate from Boredora.
